No one would want God to treat them as they deserve. Everyone cries out for the justice they believe is their due, but what we really need is the Lord’s mercy and compassion. Our sin against God shackled us to an infinite debt that we could never repay, yet in Christ God has freely forgiven it all. Bear this in mind when someone sins against you. When you live in the reality of how much you have been forgiven by God, surely there can be no sin against you too great for you to humbly forgive.
