The Unforgiving Servant, Part 1

Forgiveness is hard. Peter understood this as he approached the Lord Jesus asking Him how many times we should forgive someone who has repeatedly sinned against us. The disciple likely thought that forgiving seven times was a lavish demonstration of grace, but the Lord shattered that conceit by explaining that we must always forgive- even if someone continually sins against us. If we love little, this may seem outrageous to us, perhaps even dangerous. But if we love much, we know that we must forgive. In view of all that God has forgiven us, how can we do otherwise?
