Forgiving Like Christ

To many people, the biblical idea of forgiveness does not make sense. How can we not retaliate? How can we show love to someone who has been so selfish? When's someone is indebted to us our natural inclination is to demand that they seek our forgiveness, yet Christ shows us a different way. He is the One who has been offended, but He seeks us. He has every right to condemn, but He forgives fully, releasing us from the entirety of our debt. Christians are to forgive in this same way, seeking out the one who offended us so that we may freely forgive and release them. This is the forgiveness modeled by Christ, and this is the forgiveness mandated by God.
