Praying for Sinners

The "sin leading to death" isn't a sin that results in loss of salvation, or a certain type of sin that God always judges by causing physical death. God sometimes chooses to remove the sinning believer by taking his life, reminding us of the gravity of sin in the eyes of a holy God. Our responsibility is therefore clear: when a fellow Christian is in sin or we notice its effects in him, we have an obligation to go to him and the privilege of lifting him up in prayer for as long as God graciously grants him life.
