Left unchallenged, error exalts man and diminishes God; inevitably misrepresenting God's character, directing our worship away from Christ, and leading us to squander the resources of the Church. Be on guard, and be faithful to test every movement and teaching against the Scriptures- especially when new or novel ideas are presented. Sound teaching is always founded on the truth of the incarnation of Christ, and always exalts the biblical Christ. It gives us a greater sense of His glory, a greater desire to be like Him, a greater longing for heaven, and a greater thirst for His Word.
