Assured by God

The book of 1 John cultivates within us a desire for assurance, and God wants us to be certain of our salvation so that we may be bold and confident in His work. Whether our conscience accuses us or is silent, assurance comes as we firmly and resolutely direct our heart to follow after Christ, and as we love one another with the same love He modeled toward us. Therefore press on and walk in love for God and man, believing in the name of Christ and entrusting yourself fully to His forgiveness, following His commands no matter the cost.
