A Worthy Example

Genuine repentance is marked by change. In the heart, sin that was once practiced with indifference or even joy has now become a source of grief. In the mind, thoughts that excused evil are transformed and now humbly submit to the righteous wisdom of God. And in the will, the man that once defied the Sovereign Lord now yields to the gracious promptings of His Spirit. There can be only one response when we see the fruits of repentance in ourselves and others: praise and gratitude for the kindness of our God.
