God's Message to Mankind

The gospel is the Word of Life, the eternal plan of God to save sinful man, manifested in Jesus Christ, who took on flesh and dwelt among us to fulfill it and make it known. It cannot be changed or muted, and it is impossible to thwart or undo. It is credible, as history itself bears witness, and as the apostles testified when they wrote of what they saw, heard, and touched. It is defensible, as the Old Testament clearly points to His coming, and the New Testament fully reveals His identity and His work. It is relational, as the gospel reconciles us to God and one another, giving us new life, new love, and a common work in Christ. And it is joyful, because we’ve been forgiven of our sins and become the recipients of God’s love and grace. Only the Word of Life saves and transforms, because only the gospel is the power of salvation to everyone who believes.
