SGBC Youth Camps
One of the highlights on our annual ministry calendar is the ABIDE senior high summer camp, where Saving Grace Bible Church partners with other like-minded churches for a week of ministry dedicated to faithful preaching, discipleship, and fun activities for the youth. This camp is intended for grades 9 through 12. We also have a PROCLAIM junior high retreat for our students in grades 7 and 8. This is a valuable time for students to hear the truth and to build relationships with other students and youth leaders.
Each child will complete a detailed medical authorization form, which will be carefully reviewed by our youth leaders. Our pastor and youth leaders warmly encourage parents of children with allergies or other health concerns to meet with them in advance to discuss any specific needs. Both ABIDE and PROCLAIM are very accommodating and are happy to work with most dietary restrictions, offering a variety of suitable food options.
Participation in our Youth Camps is limited to SGBC teens of members and regular attendees, as this is enables us to focus on our own students.

Webber University // Babson Park, FL
Our high school youth attend camp at Webber University for an intensive 5 days of teaching, small groups, games, and fellowship. This schedule of being immersed in biblical teaching followed by discussion opportunities in small groups creates an ideal environment for spiritual growth. Many of our baptism testimonies of youth and young adults reference ABIDE camp as being instrumental in their salvation.
The youth will enjoy belonging on a team and competing in team games while at ABIDE as well as staying in a dorm with their small group leaders and others from our church. Their days are long and start early with devotions and teaching and often end with small groups and fellowship!
We do ask prior to attending that parents carefully look over our clothing and modesty guidelines. Having parents oversee this area frees our youth to enjoy the week while being compliant in this areas. We also have a link to a downloadable packing list for your convenience.
Travel to and from the camp is determined in advance by the youth pastor and leaders and they will carpool all the attending youth up there. Parents just need to drop off kids by Exit 193 behind Racetrac (at the dental office parking lot directly behind the gas station).

Our middle school youth camp is structured much like ABIDE youth camp. The students will enjoy teaching, small groups, games, and fellowship. The main difference between the camps is that the PROCLAIM camp is shorter in length and not quite as "large scale" as ABIDE, with only two fraternal churches currently participating.
The youth enjoy also being on a team and team competitions and stay in bunk style cabins with their youth leaders. As with ABIDE, their days are also long, start early, and filled with activity!

All youth attending camp must fill out a consent form. Please download the appropriate form above and make sure it is signed and turned in to Laura Zuchelli by July 10th.
SGBC has modesty guidelines that govern our dress code for our youth camps. Please carefully read through these guidelines to ensure your child is complying with them in what they are packing for camp.
To download drop off information and a complete packing list, please click on the appropriate link above. As reflected in the information above, there is a "no electronics" policy at our youth camps. This allows the youth to focus on the teaching, small groups, and relationships without distractions. If needed, you can check in with youth leaders to see how your child is doing.
All youth who attend camp contribute toward the cost, but their fees do not fully cover the total expenses. Our church also provides dedicated youth leaders to accompany our SGBC students, covers transportation to and from camp, and takes care of additional costs such as administration, activities, and supplies.

Youth Camp Important Parent Information
I prefer my child have his/her phone with them during camp. Is this possible?
We have a strict "no phone" policy at camp. All phones are collected during camp and are returned when we get back into town. If you have a specific concern, please speak with the Pastor.
Should I send money to camp with my youth?
There are sometimes opportunities for them to purchase special treats so you are free to send a little money but it is completely optional.
My youth and I have some specific questions on the modesty guidelines and dress code. How can we make sure he/she is compliant?
If you have a question, you are welcome to check with one of the youth leaders and they will help bring clarity to any confusion you may have.
What are the rooms like where my youth will be staying?
At ABIDE, they stay in college dorms with their youth leader and usually have 2 students per room. At PROCLAIM, they stay in a "bunkhouse" with bunk beds with their youth leaders. Both camps have meals in the dining hall and lots of property for games & fellowship.
My child has food allergies and/ or health issues. Are they able to accommodate that at camp?
