Lord, Teach Us To Pray, Part 2

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Topic: Forgiveness, Prayer Passage: Matthew 6:7–15

Prayer is essential to a life of faith. It is one of the tangible evidences that we’re depending upon God’s power and resources rather than our own. In prayer, we seek His provision for our daily sustenance because we understand that He is our provider. We cry out to Him for the grace to forgive when we’ve been wronged, because apart from Him we would cruelly hold others in our debt. And we look to Him for protection from evil because we know that we have no strength to stand on our own. The faithful prayer of a believer need be neither lengthy nor eloquent to be effective. It requires only a heart that knows its own spiritual poverty, and that wholly believes in the endless riches of grace that God supplies through Jesus Christ.
