A Warning to the Spiritually Proud

Watch carefully what kind of men you follow. Beware of those who declare the truth to you and yet refuse to be held accountable to it themselves, who bind your conscience to the traditions of men instead of leading you to the practice of godliness, or who exalt themselves instead of humbly pointing you to the honor and glory of God. Don’t follow someone because he is confident, popular, or persuasive. Follow the man who humbly and wholeheartedly follows after Christ.
