Nothing better illustrates the blindness of men than a mind filled with truth that the heart doesn’t believe. Such a man sees the truth as a means of self-exaltation, and he becomes enraged when it threatens to reveal his own sin and unbelief. How can you guard yourself from spiritual hypocrisy? Humble yourself before God by taking His counsel. Train your mind to meditate on the truth, allow it to expose your heart, and you will learn to both discern what is good and to do it.
