The Stumbling Block to Faith: Unbelief

Where does corruption come from? The Pharisees had moved away from the clear teaching of Scripture, that all men are wayward because their hearts are bent toward sin. Their oral traditions were built on the faulty theological assumption that religious activities made men righteous before God. These traditions of men may have the appearance of godliness, but only God can cleanse the sinful human heart.
