The Ministry’s High Calling

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Special Topic Topic: The Church Passage: Ephesians 4:16

One of the joys in a spiritually healthy church is seeing the unmistakable hand of God in the transformation of its members. That transformation is accomplished as hearts are softened by a steady diet of biblical, exacting, and authoritative preaching that causes the hearer to think carefully about the truth. The message reaches people of diverse backgrounds and stations, unites them in one faith and purpose under Christ, and moves them to serve one another for God’s glory. The work is not easy, because it demands excellence in every expression of ministry. Furthermore, the work of ministry is not for the few, but for the whole. The Spirit distributes gifts to each one according to His will, and God places every member in the body just as He desires. Each is equipped to contribute, none are here by accident, and therefore all must be fully engaged in using their gifts for the common good. We need one another so we can mature and grow. Are you supplying your measure of God’s grace for the building up of the body in love?
