Enter the Narrow Gate

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Matthew Passage: Matthew 7:13–14

You make decisions every day of your life. Most are inconsequential, some are important, but all pale in comparison to the decision you must make about God. Jesus Christ Himself frames the two simple choices that are set before us. Will we choose His way; the narrow gate that leads to salvation and life? Or will we choose the world’s way; the broad gate that leads to death? The broad gate is found at the end of a wide and easy road crowded with people, giving the illusion that it is safe and right. The narrow gate is Christ Himself, and the road that He commands us to walk is difficult, and few find it. No one is born on His road, and no one can walk it for you. You must choose it for yourself, discerning God’s way from Satan’s many counterfeits, and accepting that it will not win you the admiration of the world. So the question is now before you, and the decision is yours: What road are you on, and what gate will you choose?
