What Witness is This?

The ultimate witness of God’s love is found in the gift of Jesus Christ. So great was this gift that God gave three Divine testimonies to His importance: the Spirit, the water, and the blood. The water speaks of Christ’s baptism, where God declared Him to be the Son of God. The blood speaks of His crucifixion, where even battle-hardened Roman soldiers recognized His Deity. The testimony of the Spirit is the Word of God, declared by apostles and prophets, all proclaiming one truth: Life is found only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. These are the great public testimonies of God’s love, but you also daily experience other quiet expressions that you may have missed. You have another day’s breath, enjoy food and fellowship with family, and you get to hear the message of truth and find help and hope in the church. If you’ve responded to His saving grace, how are you responding to these countless smaller expressions of His gracious love? Life in Christ is filled with undeserved blessings. The only response is humble gratitude.
