Prayer and Comfort in Christ

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 6:18–24

How does the Christian battle with sin? With his spiritual armor firmly in place he prays in the Spirit, looking expectantly for the wisdom and provision of his heavenly Father. Effective prayer is the result of a mind yielded to the Spirit’s direction, and a life committed to walking in obedience to the truth. How should you pray? Be purposeful in your petitions and alert to the work of God around you, seeking answers that align with the revealed will of God. Labor diligently in prayer and do not lose heart, but persevere in bringing your requests to Him. And as you find strength in prayer, take comfort in the clear evidences of God’s glorious work as He reveals sin, saves the lost, and restores the broken and makes them useful. Are you struggling with spiritual depression? If you are in Christ, you’ve been renewed, brought near, and made a son. Repent of any known sin, stand firm in His armor, and cast all of your anxieties and cares upon Him.
