Blessed are the Peacemakers

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Matthew Passage: Matthew 5:9

We yearn for peace among nations, races, and families, yet conflict still reigns. Jesus Christ will one day return and establish peace, but how can we pursue and protect it until then? Remember that God is the source of peace. In love, He met the demands of righteousness and truth for us through the blood of Christ. While we were His enemies, He reconciled us to Himself and created the bond of peace among His people in the unity of the Spirit. Therefore, peace begins with pursuing Christ, and is protected by living in godliness. We pursue peace when we love selflessly, and seek the good of others. We protect that peace by building it on righteousness and truth. When we sin against one another we sow seeds of conflict, and when we lie we only serve ourselves. Do you desire to be a peacemaker? If you have found peace with God through Christ, then announce His gospel to the world. If you see people in conflict, then bring peace through the wise application of His truth.
