Living a Principled Life in an Unprincipled World, Part 6

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 4:25–5:2

Spiritual vitality and satisfaction of the soul is not found as much in the things that God gives us, but in what we get to become. God teaches us to love as He does, and walking in this love is the key to a rich spiritual life. Our example is Christ, who gave up His very life for unlovely people who had no love for Him. As God’s beloved children we are to strive to be a perfect imitation of the Lord, showing kindness and gentleness, forgiving freely and lavishly, loving others to our own expense and hurt, even to the point of death. Our love is to be self-sacrificing and unconditional, and not for our own glory but for the pleasure of God. This is what we give to Him in gratitude for all that He has done for us- a life of godliness lived in the power of divine love, and spent for the spiritual good of others and the eternal glory of Christ.
