Out With the Old, and in With the New, Part 1

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 4:17–4:24

It should be no surprise that the path of sanctification is difficult. Our need for transformation is more profound than any of us can truly comprehend, and the work of change is much harder than we appreciated when we first believed. What's more, we have an active and cunning enemy who tempts us where we are weak. Sadly, in the midst of this spiritual warfare, many popular Christian voices offer a pragmatic gospel that makes little of suffering and striving against sin, and much of our comfort and carnal satisfaction. God’s grace has indeed saved us from the penalty of our sin, but it has also freed us from its power! The pursuit of personal holiness is a command for all who call themselves by Christ’s name. Do you want to exult in God’s love and experience the Spirit’s power? Then walk in Him humbly and obediently, and watch as He produces in you the godly character that marks you as one who has received His mercy, and is being transformed by His grace.
