Remembering the Riches of God's Redemptive Work, Part 4

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 2:11–22

Peace was lost when mankind fell, but our problem can't be solved through science, economics, or politics, because the wisdom of man cannot produce the righteousness that we need to enjoy fellowship with a holy God. Even knowing the fullness of God's Law only reveals the extent of our sin, driving us from God as we come to realize the utter inability of our works to meet His righteous demands. But Christ provides a peace not conceived by the foolishness of man's mind, nor established by man's feeble efforts. This is the peace of God, won by Christ's death in our place and demonstrated with power in His resurrection from the grave. This is the peace that frees the soul from guilt and fear, that reconciles us to God and to one another, and which forevermore opens the way to His presence.
