Saved by Grace, Part 7

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 2:1–2:10

God saves us to demonstrate Himself in our transformation. Only He can change hearts and produce holiness, and therefore holiness is the distinguishing mark of salvation. This salvation always results in a life oriented to God, for we are His workmanship, made alive by His power and given a heart that longs to be like Him. We were created in Christ Jesus for good works, drawn to a life lived in obedience to His Word. And God prepared these works beforehand so that we would walk in them, recognizing God's sovereign hand in every circumstance and turning to Him in trust. Are you a Christian? Then why would you seek to live like the world? Do you know what your weaknesses are? Then why would you not guard them from temptation? God saved you from a life of slavery to sin. Wholly yield yourself to Him, and find the peace and joy that you desire. Fighting against sins are part of the good works which God has prepared beforehand for the Christian to walk in.
