The Power of Knowing the Truth - Pt 1

We know that we are of God because we know the nature of our new life in Christ. Our old sinful passions are no longer our master, but now we seek to master them and become more like the God we love. This concern for personal holiness is the normal desire and behavior for all Christians, but how do we grow in respect to holiness? We do so not by trusting in our flesh, but by resting in the Spirit's work within us, and in Christ's power and promise to keep us steadfast in the faith. Rest in these truths, and walk in the freedom to deny sin and pursue Christlike love.
