Abide in Christ- Pt 2

Sin brings shame and a sense of distance between the believer and Christ. But how does shame motivate the Christian to holy living? It shouldn't be fear of judgement, because Christ has removed the penalty of sin for all believers. For those who love Him, the pain of being distanced from Christ is too great to bear. Shame stimulates the believer to obedience not because of fear, but because of love. Abide in Christ and live in anticipation of His return, and know again the joy of your salvation and the sweetness of fellowship with Him who died for you!
