We believe discipleship happens in relationship. Around the table, in the Word, in prayer, and in the everyday moments of life shared with intention.
We are a community of women called to walk together, younger and older, side by side, growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We are committed to raising up women who love God deeply, live faithfully, and pour into the generation coming behind them.
Women's Studies & Prayer
Our Women's Bible Study is built on the conviction that God's Word is living, active, and transforming. We open the Scriptures together, studying carefully, digging deeply, and allowing the Bible to speak for itself. We discuss, wrestle with, and apply what we've learned. We encourage questions and embrace the kind of sharpening that only happens in discussion. We have a time of prayer, bringing our burdens, our gratitude, and needs before the Lord together.
Our Thursday evening study (Rooted) is open to all women as well as daughters 12 and older. Beginning in August 2026, we will begin a 9-week study on the book of Hosea (order here).
We also have an adults only Flourish Study that meets in the Spring on Wednesday mornings and a Prayer Group that meets each week on Monday morning.

Summer Beach days

Our Beach Fellowships are informal gatherings where women connect and kids can play freely. There is no agenda or amount of time you need to stay. Come for the whole time or just a bit!
We typically gather at Nokomis Jetty Beach anytime between 10 am and 1 pm.
Cultivate Study
Thursday Evenings | Every Other Week | June & July | Small Groups Offsite
Cultivate is an evening study built around the rhythms of a woman's everyday life. Each year we draw from Scripture to explore three foundational callings, marriage, homemaking, and parenting, believing that faithfulness in the home is one of the most profound ways a woman can glorify God.

Whether you are newly married, preparing for a future marriage, or have decades of wisdom behind you, Cultivate will anchor you in God's Word and equip you for the sacred work He has placed in your hands. This study is for ages 18 and older.
Annual Conference
Once a year, we gather, setting aside the demands of everyday life to sit together under the teaching of God's Word, be refreshed in fellowship, and be equipped for the unique callings and challenges of this season. Our topics are carefully and prayerfully chosen to minister to all the women who attend!
In March of 2027, Cheryl Marshall, author of the book "When Words Matter Most," will be our conference speaker. Registration for this conference will open in December.
August Tea
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." - Proverbs 31:26
As summer fades and a new ministry season begins, we gather around beautifully set tables to welcome the fall together. The Women's Fall Tea is a lovely tradition, an afternoon of elegance, excellent teaching from carefully chosen speakers, and the joy of women coming together in anticipation of what God has ahead.
One of the most cherished features of our Tea is the invitation for attendees to decorate and host their own table, bringing their own creativity and personal touch to a shared celebration. It is a beautiful picture of many women contributing their gifts and abilities!
Christmas Fellowship
Our Christmas Event is an informal event for SGBC ladies only due to space limitations. We enjoy a time of food, Scripture reading, fellowship, crafting, and carols as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.

Discipleship, following Jesus and helping others do the same, is at the heart of our women's ministry. Whether through the depth of a Bible study, the warmth of a beach fellowship, or the intimacy of a one-on-one relationship, we believe every woman is meant to grow in community, be transformed by God's Word, and invest that growth in the lives of others.
We offer a rich variety of opportunities, deeper Bible study, intentional prayer, meaningful fellowship, and thoughtfully curated conferences, all designed to help the women of our church family follow Christ.
