The Parable of the Mustard Seed, Part 2

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: The Parables Passage: Matthew 13:33

The Kingdom of God began as a promise. Old Testament prophets anticipated it over the centuries as God’s redemptive plan moved toward its fruition in the virgin birth, perfect life, substitutionary atonement, and bodily resurrection of the Son of God. Jesus Christ proclaimed it as He announced the time was fulfilled, and called all to repent and believe the Gospel. And the proclamation of the Kingdom has gone forth with power ever since as believers have evangelized the lost from every nation, tribe, and tongue. As God’s people, we practice Kingdom principles, seeking His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, and so we live it out by yielding to the truth and walking in the Spirit. The Kingdom of God is in our midst, and yet we still wait. We wait for His Kingdom to come in its fullness. We wait for that day when God is no longer mocked by the wickedness of a sin-darkened world, and when all those purchased by the Son will dwell together, singing endless praise and enjoying perfect peace.
