The Christian's Worthy Walk: Corporate Transformation, Part 6

Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: Ephesians Passage: Ephesians 4:7–4:16

Christ gave gifts to the Church for its growth. But how do we know if the activity in the local church is the result of a desire to pursue Christ? Growing believers seek to better understand Jesus Christ and know His voice, His message, and His will, and to experience His love and transforming power in their lives. They want to know Christ so that they can put that knowledge into action and live like Him, and therefore growing believers will also demonstrate increasing maturity and Christlikeness. When they give, speak, fellowship, sacrifice, and serve, it is all for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ, not for their own personal gain or merely for the promotion of their local church. Growing believers are zealous for good deeds, desiring to live in obedience to God and do all that the Father commands. They will willingly see their pride crushed and gratefully rely on God’s mercy and grace, knowing that God has helped them in their own infirmities as He has worked to form Christ in them.
